Covid-19 – Coronavirus Emergency glazing, glass repairs and boarding up service for the Sussex area
As you can understand that the world is going through something that we have never seen before. SSWR understand that people are pushed to the limits with what is happening from government lockdowns to losing our jobs.
With this all happening we want you to feel safe and secure in your own homes. Sussex Sash Window Restoration is still trading as usual and we have been through this whole time.
The company has vast stocks of all materials and can get toughened glass as well. This is limited supply at the moment, with the factories only running on a skeleton crew. We have in stock 4mm float glass, heritage Crown and Cylinder glass for listed properties.
We are still doing leaded light repairs but with suppliers closed some of the glass cannot be supplied due to the lock down and we are waiting for them to return to work
We have stocks of OSB boards so that temporary boarding can be used for boarding business premises as well.
The company will make sure that you feel safe in this time of need and business premises and homes are secure and safe.

- communication with households prior to any visit to discus how the work will be carried out to minimise risks to all parties should be done through the Director of the company. This will include that the clients are not in the room when work commences and separate washing/ welfare facilities.
- Use of PPE- where you are already using PPE to carry out a job for non-COVID-19 related reasons, you should continue to do so. Otherwise, workplaces should not encourage the precautionary use of extra PPE. Simple face coverings can be used, but these should not be a replacement for other methods of managing risk, like frequent hand washing.
- If the client is self-isolating, clinically vulnerable, being shielded or of someone over the age of 70 we will need prior instruction. This is so that we can account for this and take the appropriate safety measures while work is carried out.
